It was the dawn of a new millennium, the start of a new century, but we were very much still a world of the 1990's. This was a world at the end of empire, with the dissolution of the Soviet Union, and the breakup of Czechoslovakia. This was the world of the Super Nintendo, the Sega Megadrive, the Gameboy, the PC, the laptop, and the start of the World Wide Web, this was the world at the beginning of a technological revolution. This was the world of superstars. Individuals wh
