February 27, 2027 will be SHANK's 14th birthday, and what a way to celebrate by covering one of the great years in golf, and marking some of the most important and diverse milestones in the history of the industry and the sport. Many of the milestones have particular importance to golf in St Andrews, and will bring people together in celebration.

2027 will see the members of the New Golf Club St Andrews mark the 125th anniversary of the founding of the club, with a raft of special events throughout the year both on and off the golf course. The New Golf Club has a special place in my heart, as I worked there from April 2013 to August 2018, first as a Clubhouse Assistant, and latterly as the Clubhouse Supervisor, running the front of house operation at the club. I wil be publishing a series of special articles and features on the New Golf Club throughout 2027, and (subject to permissions) cover the Club's biggest events on the golf course. One of the driving forces for the creation of 'a new golf club for St Andrews' was Old Tom Morris, and he also had his fatal accident in the club cellar, falling down the stairs in 1908.

Possibly the busiest putting green in the world marks its 160th anniversary in 2027, and SHANK will cover golf on the Himalayas throughout the season (subject to permissions). The Himalayas Putting Green is home to the Ladies' Putting Club, and also opens to the public, attracting thousands of visitors every year.

The Jubilee Course was opened in 1897 and the St Andrews Links celebrates its 130th anniversary in 2027, SHANK will have a special feature on this milestone for what many consider to be the toughest test of golf in St Andrews.

The 155th Open will be played on the Old Course in July, marking the 31st occasion since 1860 that St Andrews has hosted the greatest championship in the game. SHANK will have extensive coverage of the countdown to The Open, including reports on every Open Qualifying Series event, and a raft of original content between now and next July. Championship coverage will be confirmed subject to successful accreditation to the event by the R&A.

2027 will see the Rotary Club of St Andrews celebrate its 100th anniversary, and SHANK will have a special feature on the Rotary Club of St Andrews and Rotary International, as well as covering the Rotary International Golf Tournament for the very first time (subject to permissions).

The Scotscraig Golfing Club has undergone several upgrades over the last few years, and 2027 will see it mark its 210th anniversary, and SHANK will be paying a visit to the Tayport club (subject to confirmation) to feature this remarkable Fife golf course.

Away from the St Andrews area, the Ryder Cup celebrates its 100th anniversary with the 2027 matches taking place at Adare Manor in Ireland next September, SHANK will have a series of special features throughout the leadup to the event. Staying in Ireland, the Irish Open also marks its 100th anniversary with the 72nd playing of the championship since 1927, at the K Club in July. In 12 months' time The Spanish Open will be played for the 100th time, a truly historic milestone for one of the great national Opens in the sport.

Much of SHANK's content in 2027 will be threaded together by the theme of Momentous 2027, and of course, the traditional highlight will be the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in late September, early October. The Dunhill will be part of an expanded tournament calendar, which will be published later this winter, and SHANK cover a wide and diverse range of tournaments, covering golf from the grassroots to the giants of the game, with a St Andrews Heart.

In 2027 I will be looking to develop the content offered by SHANK with greater emphasis on YouTube, and expanding the social media platform to another channel, OnlyFans. SHANK will use OnlyFans as it was intended, and look to monentize selected content, including a new, regular podcast style show, each Friday, called Friday Fore!play. This will be intended to be a fun but informative show leading into the golfing weekend, and I will look to work on this show with other creators aligned with the golf space.

On YouTube I intend to relaunch 'Tuesday Tee-Time', working with other golf journalists, photographers, golfers and industry members. Tuesday Tee-Time will cover the world of golf, and focus more heavily on St Andrews and Scottish golf than it did before (2013-2016).

Finally, ahead of Momentous 2027, I am also looking to make SHANK appealing to possible investors or even sell the platform to a Media Group which can help me to drive it forward to fulfil its potential. Any interested parties should email me at matt@shankmedia.co.uk to discuss further.
