Scottish Golf has today named the players who will represent the country at the upcoming European Team Championships and European Young Masters.

From 7-11 July, Scotland’s men, women, girls and boys will all be in action at four different venues across Europe. Scotland’s men travel to Greece to compete in the European Amateur Team Championships (D2) at the Costa Navarino Resort.
The women’s team are closer to home – facing their opponents in the European Ladies’ Team Championship at PGA Slieve Russell in Ireland. The boys head for Spain to fight for the Jean Louis Dupont Trophy at the European Boys’ Team Championship at Barcelo Montecastillo. And the girls are off to the European Girls’ Team Championships at the Golf and Country Club in Zurich, Switzerland.
Four of Scotland’s top juniors also looking out their passports to fly the saltire at the European Young Masters in Spain at Parador El Saler from 23-25 July.

Clare Queen, Scottish Golf’s Head of Performance and Pathways, said:
“It’s always exciting to name the teams for the Europeans where our best talents get the opportunity to test themselves against their peers from across Europe.
“This year’s events are shaping up to be highly competitive.
“Our teams are a mix of experience and fresh faces and as always there’s a real sense of pride for all players, new and old, as they step up to represent their country on an international stage.
“All our teams have had the chance to train together before the Europeans, allowing our coaching staff to work on psychology, nutrition and potential pairings and it’s an exciting time for everyone concerned.
“The European Young Masters is also a fantastic chance for our up-and-coming juniors to enjoy top-class competition and experience golf abroad in conditions that are vastly different to home.”
